Increase in traffic and earnings for museums and archaeological sites for 2017, announced ELSTAT.
According to ELSTAT, museums in the country recorded an increase of 14% in the number of visitors last October, while free entry visitors rate grew by 6.7% and receipts by 22.3%. During 2017 there was an increase of 16.5% for museum visitors, 16.9% for free-entry visitors and 20.9% for receipts.
In archaeological sites, according to ELSTAT, in October 2017 was recorded an increase in visitors by 19.8% 7, an increase of the free-entry visitors by 15.2% and an increase of the receipts by 21.2%. During the ten months (Jan-Oct 2017) there was an increase of visitors by 18.4%, an increase of 21.3% of free entry visitors to and an increase in receipts by 18.4%.
