Yannis Moralis: In Private

Exhibition

The exhibition showcases the departure points of the painter’s artistic quests, the origins of his visual practice, and his creative journey, with the emphasis, however, on Yannis Moralis as a man, and on his private space.

26 October, 2022 to 8 January, 2023
Info:

The primary material of his sketches, his notes and his studies, as well as his completed works, derives in the most part from the environment in which he worked for most of his artistic career: his studio in Athens. The artist’s creative space is revealed in the exhibition framed by his equipment, the instruments of his painting, his colour tests, and his personal effects. The art works on display are complemented by digital applications and photographs from the painter’s family archive, to enhance the educational and empirical dimension of the visitor’s experience.

The works and the archival material that make up the exhibition, many of which are shared with the public for the first time, belong to the Moralis family.
